The only thing better than visiting a European Christmas Market, is one with snow. There’s something magical about exploring the stands, choosing gifts and trinkets and feasting on treats and mulled wine with the crunch of snowfall underfoot. Utilising monthly weather averages across 51 European Christmas market locations, Omio has revealed which markets are most likely to experience temperatures below 2°C and are set for a magical winter wonderland experience this year. Here are the European Christmas Markets most likely to get snow in 2025…

Top European Markets With Snow

Rovaniemi, Finland – The Ultimate Winter Wonderland

As the official hometown of Santa Claus, Rovaniemi offers the most reliable snow in Europe. With average lows of –8.5°C, the Christmas Village is blanketed in snow from November onwards. Expect reindeer sleigh rides, glowing log cabins, and the magical Northern Lights dancing overhead.

Helsinki & Turku, Finland – Frosty Finnish Charm

Both Helsinki’s Senate Square and Turku’s Market Square sparkle under frequent snowfalls, with average lows of –2°C. Enjoy steaming cups of Finnish glögi, handmade crafts, and carol singers wrapped in woollen scarves as snow gently settles on the cobblestones.

Kraków, Poland – A Snowy Fairytale

With its Gothic architecture and cobbled streets, Kraków’s Main Market Square looks straight out of a Christmas card — especially under a dusting of snow. Average lows of –2°C make it one of the most likely snowy Christmas markets in Central Europe.

Innsbruck, Austria – Snow in the Alps

Surrounded by the snow-topped Alps, Innsbruck’s Old Town Christmas Market almost guarantees a frosty scene. Temperatures drop to around –1.5°C, creating a picture-perfect backdrop of twinkling lights, mountain peaks, and warm mugs of glühwein.

Graz, Austria & Brno, Czech Republic – Cosy and Chilly

Both Graz and Brno hover around –1°C, giving visitors a good chance of snow without the deep freeze. Their festive squares come alive with choir music, artisanal gifts, and the comforting aroma of roasted chestnuts.

Salzburg & Wrocław – Romantic and Frost-Kissed

In Salzburg, the Christkindlmarkt at Domplatz delivers classic Austrian charm, while Wrocław’s Rynek Market in Poland sparkles with lights and snow. Average lows around –0.5°C mean there’s a fair chance of waking up to a white Christmas morning.

Other European Christmas Markets That Often See Snow

If you want to increase your odds of a snowy visit, add these destinations to your list:

  • Košice, Slovakia – –0.5°C
  • Nuremberg, Germany – –1°C
  • Munich, Germany – 0°C

Each offers a balance of festive cheer and winter chill, perfect for travellers who love the cold but not the extreme Arctic conditions.

Where to Find the Most Snow at Christmas Markets

If a snow-covered Christmas market is non-negotiable, your best bet lies in the north. Head to:

  • Rovaniemi, Finland – almost guaranteed snow
  • Helsinki, Finland – reliable winter chill
  • Kraków, Poland – regular snowy spells in December

Each combines authentic festive traditions with breathtaking snowy scenery — the perfect mix for an unforgettable winter escape.

From Lapland’s icy magic to Austria’s Alpine elegance, these are the European Christmas markets most likely to get snow, ideal for travellers who crave that real winter feeling. So pack your warmest coat, wrap up in your favourite scarf, and follow the snow to Europe’s most enchanting festive destinations.

I grew up hearing about the luxury and glamour of the Hamptons, largely thanks to shows such as Gossip Girl and SATC, where the elite flocked in their troves for the summer months. The white-washed, shingle-clad houses, pristine beaches, and exclusive parties painted a picture of effortless sophistication and indulgence. While I’m yet to venture to the Hamptons, I recently visited Hilton Head Island and discovered what a veritable alternative it is. Nestled in South Carolina, it’s a destination that exudes a raw, natural beauty that it’s hard not to be captivated by. Some destinations you visit are superficial, where what you see is what you get, and there’s no real soul. Hilton Head Island is the opposite of this. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, where you don’t need to add a filter to your photos, the sugar-white sand is feather-soft beneath your feet and the colors of the sky feel deliberately washed over with baby-blue pastels.

Hilton head Island beachj

Everything feels gentler here somehow, slower. Although it’s an entirely new destination for me, I felt a sense of coming home, the same ease you get from visiting a favourite relative, or when curling up with a blanket and cup of tea at the end of a long day.

I’m exploring the island for five days from the UK, and it doesn’t take long to settle in and picture myself living here. In fact, as soon as I arrived it was easy to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life back home and slip into a persona of early morning jogs on the beach, yoga to the sunrise, and cycling through canopies of Spanish moss, sunlight teasing my hair though chinks of light, the air fragrant with the smell of fauna and tinged with sea salt.

The picturesque beaches here are something else; the sand is perfectly white and the powder-blue waters so smooth they look like they’ve been spread with a butter knife. Yet there is so much more to do than feel the sand between your toes. You can taste fresh, boat-to-table cuisine, kayak through coastal waters and horse ride through nature in The Sea Pines Nature Reserve. You can play golf, shop until you drop at Harbour Town and immerse yourself in its rich history and Gullah culture. It’s a destination where you can do as much or as little as you please, taking it at your own pace.

I pull up to The Sea Pines resort on a Wednesday afternoon, and it’s been a long day of flying, having gone from London to Newark, then a connecting flight over to Savannah. United Airlines was comfortable, but a 3am start was beginning to take its toll. As the car turned into the long streets complete with luscious waterways, trees hanging with Spanish moss and sprawling homes like something from a film however, I sat up that little bit straighter. Sunlight dappled the pavements, families made their way past in single file on bicycles, herons flew majestically overhead before sitting to rest on the edge of the water.

A stay to remember in Hilton Head Island

As I pulled into the driveway of the house for the next few days, the real world was firmly left behind, for 23 South Beach Lagoon was easily the most stunning place I had ever stayed in. Easy to forget it’s a new(ish) build, it hearkens back to various Southern architecture tropes, with a light-painted exterior, high ceilings, a grand staircase and intricate detailing.

The house is the epitome of coastal-chic – it’s light, airy and effortlessly elegant, exuding luxury in an understated way. Open-plan design connects the kitchen, dining and lounge area seamlessly, with window seats that beg for afternoons spent with a glass of fizz and a good book just listening to the waves crawl up the shore. Soft blue hues and rattan accents bring the outdoors in, and it’s a space that perfectly balances relaxation and sophistication – ideal for padding around barefoot with a coffee, or spending an evening getting dressed up and dining with friends. There are seven bedrooms, more bathrooms than my group could get through in the few days we were there, two kitchens, two lounges and a study. There is enough here to not leave for the duration of your stay, but with so many things to see and do, you’d be silly to not venture out at least a few times!

From the beach just beyond, you can spot deer on the sandbanks and even dolphins close enough to the shore to hear as they frolic in the waves. Keep an eye out for turtle nests during high season and don’t forget to just stop and breathe in the ocean air.

You can then head back to the house for a dip in the hot tub where you can watch the palms sway and relish in the lack of man-made noise. There are no car horns, no thrum of footsteps jostling down busy streets and allowing yourself to just succumb to the quiet is an easy luxury.

A Holiday Spot With a Past to Explore

Hilton Head Island however, hasn’t always just been an enviable vacation spot; it has a deep history that’s important it isn’t forgotten. During my trip I headed to Historic Mitchellville Freedom Park which is known as the “place where freedom began.” What was once a plantation, it was the first place designated to helping formerly enslaved people live on their own. We have a tour from Ms. Lola Campbell, owner and founder of Binya Cultural Impact Consulting who explains more about the history of the park, which is beautifully peaceful considering its chequered past. “The history of Hilton Head Island and Mitchelville is integral to the freedom and heritage of the USA” she tells us, “We need to remember it isn’t just black history, it’s American history. And it’s more important now than ever to remember that.”

During your visit, you can see where the freed slaves lived, learn more about their lifestyle and spend as long or as little time here as you want. Make sure you check out the “Bench by the Road” project to commemorate the history of the millions of Africans enslaved and brought to the Americas. The project places benches at sites of historical significance for African Americans to serve as places of memory, reflection, and community and is a beautiful testament to the abolition of slavery.

It’s the people that make a place and the characters I come across in Hilton Head Island are testament to that. A tour of the neighborhood with Purpose Prize winner, author, and native born Hilton Head Islander, Dr. Emory Shaw Campbell is equally as enlightening. His work to preserve the Gullah culture has led him to write several publications one of which is “Gullah Cultural Legacies.” In 2005, he received the Carter G. Woodson Memorial for outstanding work and is the current President of Gullah Heritage Consulting Services.

The tour with Dr. Emory Shaw Campbell and Lola Campbell is incredibly interesting and we’re taught about the heritage of the island, as well as shown a more personal insight into life today. Lola takes us to her Mother’s stall where she sells fruit, vegetables and fish and is known in the area for her incredible devilled crab. Made inside the shell of a crab, it’s beautifully flavoured and proof that simplicity is best. I wander around her shop selling wares from those in the Gullah community and women. All of the products in the store mean something, from bracelets she hand-makes herself using a method she learned in Ghana, to books and woven baskets, all with a story to tell.

Hilton Head has done a great job of keeping natural beauty and visitors can take that to any degree they want to. They designate unused land to green space and have a very open-door community.

The Foodie Scene in Hilton Head Island Is Not To Be Underestimated

Nestled in Southern USA, you’d be forgiven for leaning into the stereotypes the region often gets painted with for food. People hear Southern USA and think of chicken, deeply fried and portions that are sickeningly large. While I can’t deny having some heinously large portion sizes (though I was not mad about this), the quality and diversity of the food here goes above and beyond. Take breakfast at Nectar Farm Kitchen for example. A local eatery, it works with farmers and distinguished chefs to create a menu with ingredients made and grown throughout the Lowcountry and the South.

Hilton head Island

Visit Harbour Town Bakery and Cafe for a quintessential Hilton Head Island experience; tucked beneath the moss-draped oaks of the area, it exudes old-town charm and the tantalising scent of baking hits you as soon as you approach the steps to the front door. If you’ve a sweet tooth, Sweet Al’s HH Donut Delivery is an effortless choice – you can either order them to be delivered to your house, or pop in. Be prepared to queue as their popularity speaks for itself!

Hilton Head Social Bakery is another fantastic option, offering an authentic taste of France through the artistry of award-winning Chef Philippe Feret and his wife Marissa. Feret believes in keeping ‘the art of baking alive from heart to whisk’ and as soon as you step foot inside and see the range of freshly baked pastries on offer, it’s easy to believe. Fat croissants stuffed with everything from chocolate to raspberry sit piled high, pastry perfectly crisp, flaky, and buttery on the outside with soft layers inside. There is also a range of fresh cakes, sandwiches, hot drinks, and juices. It’s cozy, quaint, and perfect any time of day for a sweet treat or a pick-me-up.

Hilton head Island bakery

For lunch, be sure to check out Hudson’s Seafood on the Docks, offering a celebration of Hilton Head Island’s rich maritime heritage. Overlooking Port Royal Sound, Hudson’s serves seafood almost entirely from its own local fishing fleet, one of only two remaining on the island. Guests often witness the day’s catch being unloaded right onto the docks, a rare and authentic connection between sea and table. There’s a real focus on sustainability and ethical practice here and this can not only be seen, but felt in the end result. The food is all beautifully flavoured and presented, and the fish was the best I’ve ever eaten in my life. The portions are large, and I recommend sharing a few between your party to sample a little of everything.

Head to Quarterdeck for dinner, a beautiful waterfront restaurant with sweeping views of the marina and a stunningly curated seafood menu. Sip cocktails while you try local oysters before feasting on a range of classic dishes to the sound of live music in the background. For something a little more casual, Fishcamp on Broad Creek is a restaurant that was imagined by the Reilley and Simmons’ families as a place where neighbours could “gather together over great meals and share laughter, stories, and life.” It feels exactly like you’re at a family gathering, with crackling patio lamps, games on the sand for children and adults alike, and a VIP view of the sun setting over the lake.

Hilton head Island

For a truly special dining experience, you can have a meal cooked by lowcountry cultural icon and chef Ms. Sallie Ann Robinson – a sixth-generation native of Daufuskie Island and a passionate steward of Gullah culture. A vibrant character with a personality as big as the flavours in her food, Sallie Ann settled right in to cooking in front of us, teaching us the best way to shell a prawn (slice lengthways with the knife facing away from you), how celery is perfect for tenderising meat, and telling us stories of her childhood while we splashed wine into glasses and tucked into some delicious crab cakes she’d made earlier. The evening was rounded off with an incredible dinner, family-style, sharing stories, making connections and revelling in some of the most fantastic food.

A Place Where Wellness Comes Easily

Of course, with so many culinary options on offer, you’ll want to balance your trip with some wellbeing. Thankfully, this comes naturally when you’re somewhere as beautiful as Hilton Head Island, where the sun shines and the air feels fresh. You can start your day with a yoga session on a boat, where you can do your ‘warrior 2’ pose to the sounds of the water, (keeping half an eye out for dolphins!), rounding off with a green juice and gentle sail back to shore.

Hilton head Island

Take time to head out on a bike, particularly when staying at The Sea Pines resort, where you can pedal your way along more than 15 miles of picturesque trails that weave beneath the trees and past sparkling lagoons, marshlands, and historic treasures such as the Stoney-Baynard Ruins. Cycling offers the perfect pace to fully absorb the relaxed beauty of the Lowcountry too – whether starting near the Harbour Town Lighthouse or heading toward South Beach, you can easily travel to the shore, boutique shops, and restaurants. Or why not go horse riding through the preserves where you can take a gentle trot through nature, taking in the sights?

Unspoiled Charm That Feels Like Home

As someone who likes my sleep, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself coaxed out of bed at dawn, simply to watch the sun rise. Others in my group who self-proclaimed they wouldn’t be seen dead in a pair of trainers back in London fully embraced the lifestyle with early morning jogs along the sand. There’s something about the lull of the waves, the fresh air and the feeling of calm and safety here that encourages you to step out of your daily routine and want to be the best version of yourself.

Instead of swigging a black coffee as you race out the door to work, it’s about slow mornings, conscious movements and letting yourself just be. There are plenty of hidden nooks here to just read a book and sip a tea, there are walks to be had and people to meet. Hilton Head Island is a melting pot of everything you could want from a break away, and the bits in between you didn’t even know you needed. It offers rest and relaxation, nature and beauty, culture and creativity. You can eat to your heart’s content, from fine-dining with classic music, to sipping local wine under the stars and sharing dishes family style on the waters-edge.

It’s a place that scratches an itch you’ve been unable to reach, showing the beauty of travel and discovery. It teaches the art of slowing down, by throwing yourself into something new and provides a spot where you’ll feel just at home on a romantic getaway with your other half, as you would racing around the sand with friends, making memories with family, or visiting solo. It’s somewhere that’s safe and where strangers become friends. It’s somewhere you can’t visit just once. Believe me.

For a destination that offers so much more beneath the surface than you can even realise yourself, look no further than Hilton Head Island.

When you think of Houston, your mind probably instantly goes to skyscrapers, the Space Center, or its enviable food scene. But what you might not realise is that the city also marks the perfect point for a beach escape. While Houston itself doesn’t sit on the Gulf of Mexico, within an hour’s drive you’ll find a whole collection of sandy stretches, family-friendly resorts, and natural hideaways just waiting to be explored.

Galveston Island State Park

Whether you’re after a beach day with live music and cocktails, a peaceful retreat into nature, or somewhere close by to dip your toes in the surf, the beaches near Houston offer something for everyone. From Galveston’s buzzing Pleasure Pier to the more low-key shores of Quintana Beach, here are the best spots to soak up the sun. Here’s our guide to Houston beaches…

While you’re here, dont miss Untitled Art making its Houston, Texas debut in September 2025, bringing its signature mix of contemporary works, experimental galleries, and immersive installations to a new audience in the burgeoning Texas art scene!

How Far is Houston from the beach?

The nearest beaches to Houston are only about 30–40 minutes away by car, with Sylvan Beach Park in La Porte being the closest sandy spot, located roughly 26 miles east of downtown. For larger stretches of sand and a wider range of facilities, most visitors make their way to Galveston Island, which sits about 50 miles, or an hour’s drive, from the city. Other options, such as Surfside Beach and Quintana Beach, are also within easy reach, taking around 1 hour and 10–20 minutes to get to, making Houston a convenient base for beach day trips.

Best Beaches Near Houston

Sylvan Beach Park

Just 30–40 minutes from downtown Houston, Sylvan Beach Park in La Porte is one of the closest coastal escapes for those residing in Houston. This 32-acre Harris County park sits on Galveston Bay and offers a wide stretch of soft white sand, calm swimming waters, a playground, skate park, tennis courts, picnic areas, and even a boat ramp. Families love the atmosphere here, especially with the pavilion and 1,100-foot fishing pier, which doubles as a scenic walking spot. While the pier was damaged by Hurricane Beryl in 2024 and is under restoration, the park remains a popular choice for a day by the water. It’s worth checking water quality before you go, as environmental groups have occasionally flagged high bacteria levels, but on a sunny day it’s an easy and fun beach option close to the city.

Pleasure Pier

If you want your beach trip to feel more like an adventure, head to Galveston’s Pleasure Pier. About an hour from Houston, this historic pier stretches over the Gulf and offers the perfect blend of seaside atmosphere and amusement park fun. With 16 rides, including a roller coaster that twists above the water, a giant Ferris wheel, a log flume, and carnival-style games, it’s a family favourite. While Pleasure Pier isn’t a traditional beach where you’ll lounge on the sand all day, it’s an ideal destination for combining time by the ocean with exciting entertainment and panoramic Gulf views.

Stewart Beach

For those after a true family-friendly beach day, Stewart Beach in Galveston is one of the most popular spots along the coast. Just over an hour from Houston, it has been ranked as one of Texas’s best beaches for families thanks to its clean sand and extensive amenities. Here you’ll find lifeguards on duty, restrooms and showers, concession stands, chair and umbrella rentals, volleyball courts, and even a playground to keep the kids entertained. There’s a small access fee, but most find it well worth it for the convenience and comfort. Stewart Beach offers the perfect balance of seaside relaxation and practical facilities, making it one of the easiest beaches near Houston for a stress-free day out.

East Beach

East Beach, also on Galveston Island, has a very different reputation from Stewart Beach. Instead of being geared towards families, it’s known as the party beach of Galveston. Just over an hour from Houston, it’s the only local beach where alcohol is permitted, making it a popular choice for festivals, concerts, and lively gatherings. Visitors can expect food trucks, live music, and a busy atmosphere, especially on weekends. Along with the vibrant social scene, East Beach also offers volleyball courts, jet ski and parasailing rentals, and plenty of chairs and umbrellas for hire. If you’re looking for a festive, high-energy beach experience with plenty of people-watching, East Beach is the spot to be.

Galveston Island State Park

If nature and tranquility are more your style, Galveston Island State Park provides a completely different type of coastal escape. Located on the western side of the island, this 2,000-acre park combines sandy beaches with dunes, wetlands, coastal prairie, and freshwater ponds. It’s a fantastic destination for camping, hiking, birdwatching, and wildlife spotting. With campsites available for around $15–30 per night, it’s also an affordable weekend getaway where you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The park’s natural setting makes it ideal for those who prefer a quieter, less commercialized beach trip, and it remains a favourite for outdoor lovers seeking a balance between beach relaxation and adventure.

Surfside Beach

Surfside Beach, located on Follet’s Island about an hour from Houston, has a laid-back, small-town charm that draws visitors looking for something less crowded than Galveston. The beach allows parking directly on the sand, though drivers need to be careful not to get stuck. Local restaurants and shops give the town a welcoming feel, while the Vykruta Jetty Trail provides one of the area’s best fishing and photography spots, stretching far into the Gulf. Surfside is also one of the few Texas beaches with waves big enough for surfing, and it even hosts an annual marathon run entirely on the sand. While its water quality has at times been questioned, the character of Surfside and its mix of surfing, fishing, and beachcombing make it a favourite with many locals.

Quintana Beach County Park

A little further along the coast from Surfside is Quintana Beach County Park, about an hour and fifteen minutes from Houston. This 52-acre park boasts six miles of natural sandy beach, with a quieter atmosphere than the more commercialised spots in Galveston. Visitors will find RV sites, cabins, a boardwalk leading to the beach, hiking trails, a playground, restrooms, and showers, plus a lighted fishing pier. Day use is free outside of the peak summer holidays, when a small parking fee applies, making it one of the more affordable beach options near Houston. Occasionally, natural events such as fish kills have affected the shoreline, but the wide-open sands and excellent facilities make it a great destination for families and campers alike.

These are some of the best beaches near Houston ideal for making your next break away. While you might not think Houston is a place for a beach break, this shows just how you can enjoy a seaside escape when in the area. What are some of the best Houston beaches you want to visit? Let us know in the comments below.

Paris might not be known for its tall skyscrapers or buildings, until you notice them shimmering in your view from climbing up the Eiffel Tower, that area is known as La Défense, the city’s answer to London’s Canary Wharf. Located in a pedestrian area, visitors are strongly encouraged to arrive on foot or via the Metro. With it being only 10 minutes away from the city centre and an hour from Disneyland Paris by train, it’s easily accessible to everyone in Paris.

Paris La Défense

Known as France’s premier vertical district, the area is an urban jungle of 61 high-rise buildings, housed by various corporations, such as Deloitte and Citibank, which are based in La Défense, as well as Westfield Les 4 Temps-Cnit, the largest in Europe, with over 33.2 million visitors in 2024, restaurants, apartments, and art installations throughout.

How To Spend 48 hours in Paris La Defense

Over the course of two days, I spent most of my time indoors, as temperatures soared to nearly 40°C. I’m told it was very unusual for the weather to be like this in Paris, but as the city is known for having very little shade from the sun, this didn’t bode well. Fortunately, most sites were indoors, and the only gruelling part of the trip was all the walking between different places we visited.

Day 1:

My first impression upon arriving was the Grand Arch, resembling a modern counterpart to the Arc de Triomphe, which was perfectly aligned on its path around two miles away. Built in 1989, at the same time as the glass pyramid in the Louvre, it’s so big that you could fit the Notre-Dame within the arch. Rivalling it was the imposing Tour First, France’s tallest tower at 231 metres.

I was then taken to the 18th floor of the La Défense offices, where I was shown a 1:1000 model for a presentation to the district and its plans for the next few years. It all looked quite impressive, as did the views from looking outside their windows, which overlooked not only La Défense but also the centre of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower and even Sacré-Cœur in full view.

Paris La Défense

For lunch, I went to the Eclipses Restaurant against the backdrop of the Grand Arch and kids playing in the water pool and the Agam Fountain to cool off from the scorching midday sun as the temperature rose.

Afterwards, I had a guided tour of an open-air museum known as the “museum without walls”, featuring over 50 contemporary artworks dotted over the area, interspersed with modern architecture. These included a large thumb and the installation of an upside-down car on top of a pole, just to name a couple.

As for their green initiatives, there are 3800 trees in the area, which makes up 5% of La Défense. There are small parks and shady areas to cool off, which were much needed in the harsh Parisian heat, totalling up to 37 hectares of green spaces. There are also plans to create a new 5-hectare urban park, which is scheduled for completion within the next three years. I also learned that the district aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% within the next five years.

Where to stay

mela hotel Paris La Défense

It was then time to check in at the Melia Paris La Defense. My room offered a spectacular view of Paris, including (you guessed it) the Eiffel Tower. It looked particularly stunning at midnight with the light show at the iconic landmark.

Day 2:

The next morning, I went to discover some more biodiversity La Défense had to offer by visiting various parks and eco-gardens accompanied by Jardins de Gally. One particular feature that stood out was the waterfall feature in Diderot Park, standing at 14m. For an urban district, I was pretty impressed by the amount of greenery. Try seeing that in Canary Wharf.

Paris La Défense

For a complete change of pace, I visited the Zoo Art exhibition, a five-story building dedicated to urban graffiti art. Artists from all over the world have contributed here, with even the floors and ceilings used. I started from the top and worked my way down in what was a history lesson into the said art form. I could’ve spent a whole day in here, but as I was rushed for time, I had to blitz my way through some beautiful portraits.

I then walked across the other side of La Défense to visit Westfield Les 4 Temps, where I went on a guided tour. There was no time for retail therapy, as much as I wanted to check out the sales at Lacoste and Adidas stores, but instead I had a quick lunch of pizza and some virgin mojitos.

Still not quite satiated, I had a hearty meal of a veal and mashed potato dish at Muses, an elegant restaurant at the Hilton, right above Westfield. For dessert, there were pastries by renowned Michelin-starred pastry chef Nina Métayer. As I was getting pretty full, it would have been rude to refuse a sample of a chocolate and a citrus offering. To say they were amazing would be an understatement, as their attention to finer details in terms of presentation, and more importantly, taste, was unparalleled.

To burn off the food, I visited the Cité de l’Histoire to try out the Notre-Dame VR Experience. Set in a large, empty room, I was given a headset and sent back in time to the history of the famous cathedral, spanning centuries, right up to the present day, which included the rebuild following the 2019 blaze. Even if you’ve visited Notre-Dame before, this is an absolute MUST as you get an immersive experience with a fun history lesson.

Paris La Défense eternelle

For an evening treat, I went to see fellow compatriot Robbie Williams perform at the La Défense Arena, the biggest in Europe, where I was treated to hospitality treatment in the VIP Lounge. I wore a red Adidas jacket synonymous with his 90’s look for the evening, as did he with one of his costume changes from being in a spacesuit previously. He pulled out all the stops by putting on a show that wowed his adoring fans, which of course included the hits such as ‘Let Me Entertain You’, ‘She’s The One’, ‘Rock DJ’ and ending the show with the iconic, ‘Angels.’

As my Eurostar back home was cancelled owing to a fire near the tracks, I was stuck in Paris for an extra two days. Not that I minded too much as it allowed for extra sightseeing. But a special thanks needs to go out to the Renaissance Hotel who saved the day with allowing me to stay until I could go back home to London. Owned by Marriott Bonvoy, my room was dimly lit to the right amount, spacious, and had a comfortable bed, all of which I was grateful for, despite a freak incident that delayed my departure home.

La Défense may not be the Paris you see on postcards, but it’s a bold, modern marvel. And as my extended stay proved, it was not a bad place to be stranded at all.

Looking to take your London experience to new heights – literally? Whether you’re a local seeking a luxury staycation or a visitor chasing skyline views, infinity pools in London offer a unique way to unwind above the hustle and bustle. From jaw-dropping panoramic views of the iconic Battersea Power Station chimneys at art’otel London, to swimming high above the city on the 52nd floor of The Shard, there are some impressive pools in London.

In this 2025 guide, I’ve rounded up the very best infinity pools in London – plus a few stunning alternatives – for the ultimate swim-with-a-view experience. There’s nothing better than soaking up the sun with a refreshing dip, followed by a cocktail (or two) to ease into your day off in true London style.

Infinity pools in London: Summary

The Best infinity pools in London

The Shangri-La at The Shard

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at the  Shangri-La at the Shard several times and have always had a lovely experience.  The rooms are beautifully designed, the views are absolutely breathtaking, and nothing compares to swimming on the 52nd floor – followed by a sunset cocktail at Gong. The infinity-style pool is the highest in Western Europe, and it’s truly breathtaking – imagine gliding through the water as you watch the sun set over London’s skyline, with panoramic views stretching from St. Paul’s to Canary Wharf. It’s peaceful, luxurious, and unlike any other swim you’ll experience in the city.

In addition to boasting one of the best infinity pools in London, the hotel offers a curated menu of luxurious spa treatments designed for complete rejuvenation. Choose from ELEMIS facials, relaxing massages, and indulgent rituals, alongside beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures, and expert hairdressing—all delivered in serene surroundings high above the city.

Pan Pacific

Pan Pacific Luxury Infinity Pool In London

One of my favourite things about Pan Pacific London has to be its serene infinity pool, tucked away on the hotel’s dedicated wellness floor. At 18.5 metres long, it offers stunning views over the dramatic City skyline – a peaceful oasis high above the usual hustle and bustle of London’s financial district. Surrounded by soft lighting, minimalist design, and floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s the perfect place to unwind. Being one of the rare luxury hotels in London with an infinity pool, it’s high on my list of recommendations.

The Wellbeing Floor also offers a range of treatments that beautifully fuse Western clinical research with Southeast Asian traditions of clean beauty, focusing on result-driven relaxation and tailor-made seasonal rituals. I’ve included Pan Pacific as one of my London Spa Hotels to visit, outside of having an infinity pool.

Art’otel London Battersea Power Station

The Best infinity pools in London Art'otel

If you’re on the hunt for one of the standout infinity pools in London, look no further than the Art’otel London Battersea Power Station. Perched on the 16th floor, this sleek rooftop pool offers jaw-dropping panoramic views of the iconic Battersea chimneys and the city skyline beyond. Heated year-round and designed with modern minimalism, it’s the perfect urban oasis to escape the city buzz.

Beyond the pool, guests can indulge in luxurious spa treatments or join rooftop wellness classes, making Artotel Battersea a true destination for relaxation, style, and a one-of-a-kind infinity pool experience in London. I’ve been impressed with the changes that have happened in Battersea. If you haven’t had the chance to see them, you should pop down – I recently tried TOZI Battersea Pizzeria & Ciccheti Bar, which was delicious and I would recommend.

Sky Pool, Embassy Gardens

I can’t really talk about pools in London without mentioning the iconic Sky Pool at Embassy Gardens. This rooftop pool is extremely unique, being that it’s suspended 115 feet in the air between two residential towers. It’s the world’s first fully transparent, floating pool, with a completely see-through floor and sides. The pool stretches an impressive 25 metres, with a rooftop bar, spa and gardens. The only catch is that you have to be an Embassy Gardens resident or a guest of theirs – for now, I am going to dream I can swim in it one day!

Best alternatives to infinity pools in London

The Berkeley

Swimmer relaxing in heated rooftop pool in London

As I mentioned earlier, it’s rare to find hotels with true infinity pools in London. But with that being said, I wanted to share what I would consider their next best things, and that’s the pool at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge.

While it may not have an infinity edge, it’s undeniably one of the most elegant and exclusive spots to take a dip in the city. Set on the seventh floor, the heated outdoor pool offers sweeping views over Hyde Park and the rooftops of Belgravia. Enjoy a refreshing swim before unwinding with a tropical smoothie or glass of Champagne from the poolside bar, perfectly paired with light bites and delicious small plates. When you are done enjoying the rooftop pool, you could book yourself into their afternoon tea, which is very popular.

Virgin Hotels London

Swimmer relaxing in heated rooftop pool in London

Tucked above the vibrant streets of Shoreditch, the rooftop pool at Virgin Hotels London is a stylish escape with serious holiday energy. Perched on the 12th floor, this intimate heated pool may be compact – but it packs a punch with panoramic views of London’s skyline and a sleek Mediterranean vibe that feels a world away from the bustle below.

Treat yourself to a cocktail and some small bites, while you enjoy relaxing in the sun. Whether you’re lounging poolside with a chilled rosé or enjoying some of the Mediterranean-inspired plates from Marlin’s on the Roof – I would recommend the Crispy Squid! – It’s the perfect hotel getaway for the night. It may not be one of the infinity pools in London, but a rooftop pool is a good compromise.

The Ned

Set high above the clatter of the City, the rooftop pool at The Ned offers a welcome blend of London skyline views and laid-back luxury. Located just a stone’s throw from Bank Station, this five-star former banking hall has been transformed into a sprawling hotel and members’ club – and its rooftop pool is one of the city’s most coveted spots for a swim with a view.

The heated outdoor pool is exclusive to hotel guests and Ned’s Club members, offering front-row seats to St Paul’s Cathedral and the surrounding rooftops. Beyond the pool, guests can make the most of the rooftop’s stylish setup, which includes a restaurant, two converted domes, and outdoor terraces perfect for dining and drinks under the sky.

Our top tips for choosing which infinity pools in London to try

  • Always check the pool’s access rules before you visit. Some infinity pools are exclusive to hotel guests, while others may require advance booking or membership – so it’s best to plan ahead to avoid disappointment. I mentioned the Sky Pool in my article, which is for Embassy Gardens residents or guests of theirs.
  • Infinity pools in London can get busy, especially on weekends or sunny days. Early arrival often means better loungers and a quieter vibe
  • If you are staying in a hotel which has a pool, chances are they also offer other facilities to enjoy such as a steam room, sauda or massages.

In this guide, I’ve curated a selection of the best infinity pools in London, along with some fantastic alternative options, all guaranteed to offer a memorable and relaxing experience. Which ones will you be trying out? Is there a pool I’ve missed that you’d recommend? Let me know in the comments below!

To discover a path less travelled, head to Sri Lanka’s northern shores where untouched beaches, historic forts and shimmering lagoons await. Trincomalee, Jaffna and Mannar are the hearts of the Tamil-speaking communities who live around them.

Accessible by road or rail, from Colombo, there is no better place to visit during the dry season between April and October. This part of the island has seen little development and as a result, there are fewer crowds, authentically friendly locals and a genuine sense of warmth and hospitality wherever you go.

Trincomalee and Nilaveli Beach

Trincomalee, endearingly called Trinco and best known for its natural harbour, is a coastal city on the northeast of Sri Lanka. Twenty minutes north of Trinco sits the village of Nilaveli; one of Sri Lanka’s worst-kept secrets. This powdery white beach and clear blue sea is where Sri Lankans spend their holidays.

The four kilometre beach with its magnificent coral reef is the main attraction. The lack of crowds means it’s a quiet and peaceful beach mostly to yourself, making it a perfect escape.

The region’s other main attraction is seafood. Head to the beach each morning and watch fishermen bring their nets in. These fishing boats supply all the hotels and restaurants along the coast with fish, prawns, crabs and even lobster. Lunch menus always include catch of the day.

What to do

For a dose of history and culture explore Trinco’s Fort Fredrick by foot. The fort, built by the Portuguese during their occupation of Sri Lanka in the 17th century, is still in administrative use but open to the public. Old buildings, original walls and large open spaces sit around a path which leads out to the main road and a staggering view of the sea.

Walk to the opposite end and arrive at Thiru Koneswaram Hindu Temple; a stunning hilltop complex with towering statues built at the edge of the ocean where peacocks dance on the ledge as Hindu gods watch over land and sea. Arrive by 6pm to catch the pooja; the daily ritual of the congregation offering plates of fruit to the gods and priests offering blessings in return.

From the beach at Nilaveli book a 20 minute boat ride to Pigeon Island Marine National Park. All hotels offer this excursion which costs around £50 depending on the operator. The protected area of two small islands, known as Large Pigeon Island and Small Pigeon Island, named after the blue rock pigeons who live there, is a sandy, quiet paradise. It’s home to reef fish, turtles and over a hundred varieties of coral.

Where to stay

Cinnamon Trinco Blue is a great place to rest as the hotel is located between Trincomalee’s town centre and Nilaveli beach. The busy lobby looks out to the sparkling pool with views out to sea. Opt for ground floor rooms and walk directly on to the beach each morning.

Captain’s Deck is the hotel’s seafront restaurant which serves Sri Lankan and international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s fabulously set up for relaxed dining and the attached all day bar Rum Hold offers great pre-dinner cocktails.

Jaffna and Point Pedro

Jaffna, commonly considered the main city of northern Sri Lanka is at the very north of the island. 45 minutes northeast of the town is Point Pedro – the northernmost point of the island. The beach here is not for swimming but a place of significant interest. The lighthouse, built in 1916, does offer magnificent views but is not open to the public. The small village, sea, and the beach, which is covered in fishing nets or sun-drying fish, is one of the most authentic and rare glimpses into Sri Lanka’s rudimentary coastal village life; a thing that is expected to disappear soon as almost all the northern coast is earmarked for development.

What to do

Waste no time heading out to Jaffna Market which is easy to find and navigate. Some might argue that the entire centre of town is a market; street food carts line the streets, shops and tiny restaurants remain open until late. The covered food market sells fresh fruit, sweets, woven baskets and everything in between. Sellers are keen for visitors to taste their fresh produce. Try the sweet jackfruit or ripe mangoes as you walk by and spot a handmade souvenir.

Nallur Kandaswamy Temple is the city’s main point of interest and the spiritual centre of Jaffna. Remove footwear to enter the temple. Men are also required to remove their shirts. Inside is the main shrine around which people gather for blessings. Pillars decorated with wood carvings and gold leaf stand along long corridors with alcoves dedicated to Hindu gods.

 Where to stay

There is no better place to stay in Jaffna than the superb Jetwing Jaffna. The towering hotel is centrally located within walking distance of Jaffna Market. Expect all the comfort and good taste of Jetwing Hotels; Sri Lanka’s signature luxury hospitality brand. The rooms are plush and overlook the busy town centre. Jetwing Jaffna’s crowning glory however, is Peninsula, the hotel’s remarkable restaurant; the best place to try Jaffna crab curry. The unashamedly decadent burgundy and gold decor is a perfect match for the open fires by which chefs grill enormous prawns and fresh fish at your request. Stay here late and enjoy a night cap at the rooftop bar Jaffna Sky Lounge which is open until 10pm.

Mannar Island

Mannar is an island off the northwestern coast thought to have been part of the sand spit that once linked Sri Lanka to India. Today, the island which is connected to the mainland by road, is a picturesque, untouched place. With November and December being the only time of year that rain falls in Mannar it’s a great year round destination. Keeri, Thalvapadu and Pesalai are some of the beaches which surround the island which are perfect for swimming. They are as idyllic as you can imagine; white sand, shallow waters almost 10 metres into the sea, and only crabs and seashells for company. As with any off-the-beaten-path destination swimming and snorkelling should be done at your own risk.

What to do

Complete your trip with a visit to the Donkey Clinic and Education Centre. Arab traders brought donkeys to Mannar in the 3rd century when salt mining was a part of the local economy. They were used for carrying salt along the peninsula. As the industry fell into decline the animals were abandoned but have continued to thrive. Locals consider them pests and injured donkeys were left to fend for themselves.

Sahul Hameedtu Al-Hathir started a self-funded project to care for the donkeys and engage the local community. The Donkey Clinic and Education Centre rehabilitate injured donkeys and work to change the negative perception the local community holds of the animals. Visitors can feed and interact with the donkeys who are released back to the wild after they are fully recovered.

Where to stay

Whether travelling north from Colombo to Mannar or south from Jaffna Club Palm Bay in Marawila is the perfect stop. The sprawling hotel has chalets stretched across 22 acres of well-manicured gardens with a large pool at the centre. The rooms are spacious and sit within lush greenery. Kundira, the in-house restaurant, offers buffet style dining and the bar, Ran Thambili, serves fresh cocktails and spirits. The hotel’s spa offers a range of healing Ayurvedic massages. Check it out on booking.com here.

Let us know your thoughts on Sri Lanka’s best beaches – are you planning to go anytime soon? We’d love to hear from you.

If you’re looking for adventure, Arkansas is the state to visit. With its diverse landscapes featuring stark mountain scenery, rolling hills, serene rivers, picturesque lakes and luscious green forests it’s no wonder it’s known for being the ‘Natural state’. Of course having such a stunning topographic range there is a whole host of outdoor activities at your fingertips, whether seeking a thrilling day of mountain biking or a scenic, relaxing float down the national river sipping a cold beer. What’s more, you can make the most of what Arkansas has to offer almost year-round due to the mild winter climate.

But where to start the adventure!?

Bentonville

Bentonville Arkansas travel guide

If you’re planning a trip to Arkansas, Bentonville should absolutely be on your list to visit. This charming town, nestled in the northwest corner of the state is a delightful blend of outdoor adventure, boasts a vibrant art scene as well as hosting many exciting festivals and events throughout the year. It really is a destination that offers something for everyone!

Stay at the Motto Hotel

Staying at Motto by Hilton Bentonville Downtown is like discovering a vibrant, design-led hideaway right in the heart of Arkansas’ cultural renaissance. With its sleek modular rooms that champion smart, space-savvy living, Motto offers refreshingly boutique feel, something Hilton hotels aren’t always known for. You’re just a short stroll from Bentonville’s heady arts district, including the avant-garde Momentary museum and the Dixon Gallery, while evenings are perfect for unwinding at the rooftop bar. Whether you’re here for a pop‑up exhibition or a laid‑back city getaway, Motto’s upbeat vibe, pared‑back comfort and pulse‑of-the‑street location make it feel a little like staying in Bentonville’s best-kept secret.

Book here

Start Your Day with a Kayak Adventure Down the Buffalo National River

No trip to Bentonville would be complete without experiencing the natural beauty of the 135 km long Buffalo National River. Known for its pristine beauty, one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the surroundings is to travel on the water, whether by kayak, canoe or paddle board, it’s a scenic oasis as you float downstream! It’s debated which part is the most spectacular but with towering bluffs, tree-lined banks and the glistening water beneath you, every stretch of the river is dazzling.

The tranquillity is blissful, you can enjoy trying to spot river turtles, birds and even maybe a deer as you paddle through the winding waterway. The river is stunning year-round, but the best times to visit are spring and Autumn. Spring brings wildflowers and vibrant greenery, while Autumn offers the spectacle of auburn leaves reflected in the river. There are various spots you can rent a kayak or canoe from and various drop off points along the route so you don’t have to worry about getting them back to where you started. The river is best when it’s had a little rain, while still a fairly sedate and relaxing paddle downstream it makes the patches of rapids you encounter that little bit more thrilling!

Biking through Bentonville

Bentonville Arkansas travel guide

A well kept secret is that Bentonville has pedalled its way to the top and is proud to be the mountain biking capital of the world! Amidst the luscious rolling hills of Northwest Arkansas, Bentonville boasts over 150 miles of world-class tracks that start right from the Downtown area, so you can be on the trails in mere minutes. From expert to entry level tracks, the two-wheeled playground is keyed up for all levels, meaning you can enjoy a gentle cycle through the trees or test out your skills on some of the more thrilling tracks.

If you happen to be in Bentonville in May, you won’t want to miss the magic of Bentonville’s annual Bike Fest, people come from far and wide to celebrate all things mountain biking. From pro jumps (the ones that just blow your mind), competitions, gear expos and just a general buzz that will have you wanting to take to the trails time and time again.

A stroll through Bentonville’s art trail

A wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Bentonville whether by foot or by bike, is exploring the public art trails. With over 150 works of art to admire from sculptures to murals it’s a delightful way to entrench yourself in the creativity the community has worked hard to stage throughout the town, making art accessible to everyone and a more beautiful town to stroll through. You’ll have to find out which art pieces are your favourite for yourself but highly recommended is the Stefan Sagmeister, Lakes and Rivers.

A perfect viewpoint for this particular piece is from atop the bikeable building. Yep that’s right a bikeable building, Bentonville is so keen on their biking culture they’ve built a building you can cycle up. It’s a little bit of fun to cycle to the top where you get a brilliant view of downtown Bentonville and the Lakes and Rivers piece. Comprising thousands of stainless-steel discs in the shape of fish, the effect of the reflected light is mesmerising, dancing golden in the sunlight and a moody silver when overcast.

Crystal bridges art museum

Crystal bridges art museum

Founded by Alice Walton, the daughter of Sam Walton who built the empire that is Walmart! Alice wanted to make sure the museum provided an artistic hub to the community as well as visitors passing through. The Crystal Bridges art museum building itself was designed by the architectural genius Moshie Safdie and is a masterpiece in of itself, let alone the hundreds of contemporary artworks it houses, of which all the main exhibits are always free admission.

The natural look and feel of the building which melds seamlessly into the surrounding also enhances the beauty of the artworks, making the whole experience completely immersive. There is an ever changing collection on display at the museum so it’s worth checking beforehand which artworks are on display and if there are any special exhibits.

The Momentary

Bentonville Arkansas travel guide

It hosts a variety of events including stimulating and thought-provoking art installations, live music, performing arts, cultural events and to top it all off has a unique rooftop bar with a spectacular view out over Bentonville.  Whilst staying in Bentonville the Momentary hosted a fantastic photography exhibit ‘best in show’ a series of delightfully composed and captured pet portraits, the same evening experiencing a live music gig in a different area of the Momentary, the band ‘the main squeeze’ were unbelievable live and are now a firm favourite on my playlist! A dynamic space dedicated to contemporary visual and performing arts, perfect for couples, friends and family alike it’s definitely worth checking the line-up of events during your stay.

Walmart museum

Bentonville Arkansas travel guide

If you’re in Bentonville you must visit the Walmart museum, it’s hugely popular and a fun way to see a bit of American history brought to life, housed where the very first Walmart store stood in 1962 and where Sam Walton’s Legacy began. The museum offers a fascinating look at Walmart’s humble beginnings and its rise to become one of the largest retail corporations in the world. Taking you through the critical changes of the company over the years, especially fun is seeing the retro products as well as interactive exhibits about the company’s global impact right up to the current day.

Conifer restaurant

There are many culinary delights to be had in Bentonville, but one stand out eatery is Conifer. Conifer has garnered great prestige for its creative, entirely gluten free menu, it’s an upscale yet relaxed dining destination and a haven for those with a gluten intolerance! An entirely gluten free menu meaning that it’s an inclusive experience, whether you’re gluten free or just looking for an exceptional dining experience. All the dishes prepared have such a delightful mix of textures and tastes that are quite literally mouth-wateringly good but don’t leave you feeling heavy at the end of it… Even if you do eat an obscene amount of their heavenly biscuits.

Little Rock, the Capital with Southern Charm

Heading from the northwest corner of Arkansas a two hour drive brings you to the more centrally located State Capital, Little Rock.

Boat river tour

Little Rock Travel guide arkansas

From kayaking the Buffalo river in Bentonville to enjoying a scenic sunset river tour in Little Rock. Seeing the changing landscape as the golden light turns a stunning red hue as the sun gets ever closer to the horizon is so mesmerising. Travelling downstream away from the city centre, you pass under many funky bridges which add to the picturesque vista, separate from the buzz of city goers.

With an ice-cold beer or wine in hand, sit back and relax as Sam the owner of Rock Town Outfitters steers you downstream where the cityscape fades into the background, replaced with a luscious treeline, sandbanks and the striking quarry come mountain bike area. There’s more than one way to explore the river though if kayaking or paddle boarding is more up your street, or if you fancy viewing the river from the sidelines there is of course a cycle path that runs parallel to it.

Breakfast at Flora Jean’s

Little Rock Travel guide arkansas

From the moment you step through the doors at Flora Jeans you know you’re on your way to feeling uplifted, the entire menu is designed to not only be delicious but genuinely good for your body, mind and soul. Devouring a plate that is not only packed full of flavour but knowing the ingredients are healing from the inside out is a rarity. From chlorophyll water to lion’s mane mushroom omelette, it’s a health lover’s paradise and a tonic to set you up for the day. Of course they’re not completely devoid of a little naughtiness and their light beignets are to die for.

Mountain Biking

Little Rock Travel guide arkansas

Just like Bentonville, Little Rock is heavily geared towards biking culture. Whether enjoying a gentle ride around town discovering the range of sculptures and artworks dotted throughout the city or gearing up for a scramble to the top of a mountain bike run, relishing the spectacular views then the buzz of riding back down the winding trails. Hopefully you can save a Flora Jean beignet as a little treat at the top!

Little Rock High School

Little Rock High School is a prevalent piece of American history, it stands testament to the hard work and devotion of the black community in fighting for equal rights, a pivotal moment for the Black community. The story is utterly compelling and heart wrenching, retold to this day so that such injustice is never repeated. It tells the story of the little rock 7, 7 exceptional black students who fought for their place to study at the all-white Little Rock High School.

A sip of Bourbon at Rock Town Distillery

Of course Kentucky is where most of us lean to when thinking of Bourbon, rightly so too as 95% of the world’s Bourbon is produced there but it’s not the only dab hand at making Bourbon. Right in the heart of Little rock is the much loved ‘Rock Town distillery’ that has grown to be a hub for those who want to enjoy a quality Bourbon. A whole range of in-house Bourbons are on offer, everything from premium top-shelf mature Bourbons to distinctive Bourbon cocktails. Never before have I experienced sweet pea infused into a drink, as unlikely as it seems it really works! You can expect many unusual but beautifully crafted flavour combinations, and can even take a tour of the distillery.

Bill Clinton’s Presidential Library

Little Rock Travel guide arkansas

One of the city’s most prominent attractions is the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, a tribute to the 42nd president and his legacy. The library offers a glimpse into the life of Bill Clinton with insightful exhibits about his presidency, complete with historical artifacts and documents you can wander at your leisure and take in the memorabilia and archives on display. This is a really unique experience, not only as a glimpse into the day-to-day of a president but also, when do you get the opportunity to sit in at the presidential desk in the oval office, okay it’s a replica, but fun to play president (who could resist!)!

Rogers

If your itinerary allows, a pitstop in Rogers located en route between Bentonville and Little Rock, is highly recommended. With lots to offer from live music and events, local festivals and markets, the world’s largest BB gun (definitely worth getting a snap with), awesome eateries, ethically produced and beautifully blended coffee at Onyx coffee, to unique stays.

rogers travel guide arkansas

A coffee at Onyx

Onyx coffee does things a little differently – for starters their store is an oasis of modern tranquillity to relax whilst you sip on your perfectly brewed coffee. What’s more is you know exactly where it comes from and exactly what you’re paying for. Onyx has smashed through the boundaries of secrecy and are completely transparent with their costings, so you can see how much goes to the actual grower and so on. Giving you peace of mind whilst savouring your full bodied caffeine hit.

rogers travel guide arkansas

A bite at Roots Café

Farm to table is becoming ever more prevalent in Arkansas and a prime example of this is The Roots Café, utilising produce from local farms to create soulful, original dishes that bring people together. Their pimento cheese burger is as good as they come!

Wildcat Sanctuary

If you’re looking for something a little different in terms of stays, the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs (about 40 minutes from Rogers) offers an unforgettable opportunity to witness majestic big cats in a serene, natural setting. This sanctuary is home to over 100 rescued lions, tigers, leopards, and other exotic animals, each with a unique backstory.  Offering guided tours to explore their expansive habitats, observe the animals daily behaviours, and learn about the refuge’s rescue efforts to help these previously exploited animals have a truly better life. The sanctuary provides a rare chance to connect with these incredible creatures while supporting their lifelong care.

Conclusion: A Little Bit of Everything

One of the things that truly sets Bentonville and Little Rock apart is their creative pulse, with a wide array of events and festivals that take place throughout the year. Whether you’re exploring the great outdoors, immersing yourself in the vibrant art scene, or savouring the flavours of diverse local eateries, you’ll leave full of unforgettable experiences. These are two places you need to add to your travel plans this year.
